Big Cheese with Adryan Daynes, MD International Productions

We chat with Adryan Daynes, Managing Director at International Productions about New Orleans, a good sound system and talking to successful people in this week’s Big Cheese.

The great thing about my job is… delivering fantastic results for our clients while having fun doing it. We try not to take ourselves too seriously.

The challenge for industry is…being fresh, looking for something new and then delivering it.

My greatest achievement is… some clients have been with me for over 17 years. It helps employing great people that make my job easier and do a brilliant job themselves.

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be… International Productions producing 360 degree video content!

I try to relax by…having a nice meal, watching a movie or doing something with my family.

I don’t understand why…people are so unkind!!! (couldn’t help myself… Kamahl)

My favourite venue is…anywhere with good live music and my wife beside me. I hear New Orleans is nice this time of year!

I’ve always wanted to travel to…Ireland and try a pint (or three) of the real Guinness.

I am scared to death of…letting a client down. However, with the team I work with… it just ain’t gonna happen!

I can’t live without…music and a bloody good sound system in my car.

I really wish I had…not tried to bluff my hand at the boys poker night last Saturday…I lost $10!

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be…John Lennon, Freddy Mecury, Prince and David Bowe… oh they have to be alive? Sting, Elton John, Phil Collins and Aretha Franklin.

For anyone starting out in the industry one piece of advice I’d give would be ….don’t be frightened to ask questions and try to find out what you don’t know…just talk to successful people.
