Big Fat Hotel Wrap
This hotel wrap is short and sweet, just like last week. In other news, we’re contemplating becoming a poet.
Spring Break at Hotel Barriere Les Neiges
At the foot of the famous Bellecôte run, a stone’s throw from the centre of Courchevel and its luxury boutiques, the Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges enjoys an exceptional position, with 42 slopeside Bedrooms, Suites and Penthouses.
This winter, Courchevel has experienced exceptional snowfall with over seven metres of accumulated snow, an amount not seen since the winter of 1980. And there’s still a month in which to enjoy the warm, welcoming setting of the Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges and the range of activities that Courchevel has to offer. With over three metres of accumulated snowfall at the top of the ski runs and a sunny forecast, spring skiing is exceptional this year. Take advantage of extended ski days from 9am to 5pm in the world’s largest ski area.
It’s also a wonderful opportunity to discover a different side to Courchevel: dog-sledding excursions, snowmobile rides, afternoons spent outside relaxing on one of the resort’s many sunny terraces…. The Clés d’Or concierge service is on hand to design tailor-made experiences, so let them surprise you. Will you choose the thrills of heliskiing or the beauty of a torch-lit descent? Lunch on the slopes facing Mont Blanc, or a trip in a hot air balloon?
From the 28th of March until the 2nd April, Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges will be celebrating Easter with decorations inspired by the natural world. Children will love the baby rabbits nestled in springtime scenes in the lobby.

Shangri-La Hotel At The Shard, London, launches the Royal Botanical Afternoon Tea and The Royal Celebration Experience
To celebrate the wedding of His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle, Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London is delighted to launch the Royal Botanical Afternoon Tea and The Royal Celebration Experience.
The Royal Botanical Afternoon Tea takes its inspiration from the traditions of the British royal family and its soon-to-be princess, Ms. Meghan Markle. Presented in TĪNG restaurant and lounge, with stunning views of London’s most iconic landmarks, the tea features a delightful selection of botanical themed cakes, scones and freshly made sandwiches.
Marking Prince Harry’s intimate proposal over a home-cooked roast chicken and as every royal bouquet contains a sprig of myrtle to symbolize hope and love, a roast chicken and myrtle sandwich stars in the new menu. The myrtle tradition began in 1840 when HRH Queen Victoria married Prince Albert and has continued with the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding to Prince William six years ago.
Executive Pastry Chef Heather Kaniuk and her team have delicately crafted a selection of sweets, taking inspiration from flowers grown in the royal gardens. Stemming from HRH Queen Victoria’s love of violets (a symbol of modesty and fidelity), a cassis violet macaron features blackcurrant confiture and violet crème. The raspberry, rose and lychee mousse is inspired by a silver-pink rose dating back to the 1950’s called the ‘Queen Elizabeth Rose’, named after Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest reigning monarch.
