DMS celebrates its 25th anniversary

Saluting the monumental achievement of 25 years in business, DMS (Destination Marketing Services) has launched their refreshed website and brand to reflect the current needs and demands of the changing events and travel landscape.

DMS connects the Australian and New Zealand events industry to a comprehensive network of destination management companies (DMCs) around the world.

The boutique company was the pioneer in delivering professional services to Australian and New Zealand incentive, conference and corporate event planners and leisure specialists through their global network of tourism product.

With a full-fledge office in Sydney and a sales office located in Melbourne, DMS’ network operates not just in the world’s most prestigious destinations but also takes you ‘off the beaten track’ to exotic and unexplored corners of the world. The companies all-encompassing successful value proposition has been sustained through the quality of their DMC partners.

Marissa Fernandez Managing Director said, “Our prevailing success can be attributed to understanding the market and adapting when necessary.

“With our exceptional long-standing partners such as Walpax Brazil Travel Partners, Spectra, Dragonfly Africa, Travel Russia and Shackman Associates New York (just to name a few) we place a targeted approach on the fundamentals of customer service to deliver stand out experiences.

“We strive to not only deliver on the necessities but take our offering one step further to address the intricate personal preferences of each client.”

Addressing the needs to the market, DMS successfully provides education to the market via their superior familisation programs; partaking also in both IMEX programs biannually. In 2017, the market leader took on a new initiative, escorting an intimate group of buyers to the Hosts Global Forum in New Orleans, run by their long standing North American DMC partner, Hosts Global.

Taking the reins of DMS in 2013, Fernandez added, “As a company we are most proud of the evolution of our roadshow, DMS Connect.

“Our humble showcase visits Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland and now incorporates not only our captivating DMC partners, but also our industry partners, to provide MICE and leisure agents a holistic destination experience”.

Acknowledging client feedback, Fernandez has made changes to strengthen the portfolio, partnering with the likes of Passion for Events in Argentina, Travco Events in the UAE and Moloney & Kelly in Ireland, all of which are companies led by industry leaders across the travel industry.

The refreshed DMS brand and website moves the company into the future and is reflective of the modern and specialised service they provide the market. The tagline, global connections echoes the essence of the service DMS provides.
