Get ready for CINZ’s MEETING showcase 2018

Exhibitors from across New Zealand are lining up to be part of the premier national business events showcase, MEETINGS organised by Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) this May.

CINZ Chief Executive Sue Sullivan says MEETINGS 2018 will be home to 190 exhibitors from 19 regions.

“Our regions are really to the fore this year. Their strength of showing makes MEETINGS a must-attend event for 600 event organisers looking to cover all of New Zealand in just one or two days.”

“New Zealand has such a broad range of venues and experiences, from the main cities to our rural and coastal towns, from the exciting purpose-built new infrastructure in Auckland and Christchurch to the distinctive cultural and natural elements to be explored in our smaller regions,” she says.

Exhibition spaces for the event at ASB Showgrounds on 30 and 31 May are just about filled up, with one week until registrations close on 19 March.

Auckland is expanding with a strong showing from newcomers in the city’s West.

The Grounds at Whoa! Studios is an exciting new addition to the line-up, along with the Quality Hotel in Lincoln Green helping to boost the visibility of West Auckland.

Taranaki’s New Plymouth Event Venues is returning with a range of spaces including the city’s stadium, theatre and art gallery.

This year Wairarapa is back and bigger at MEETINGS with four operators including Destination Wairarapa, Copthorne Hotel and Resort Solway Park, Tranzit Group and Brackenridge Resort and Spa.

Joining Queenstown for the first time, The Rees is a 5-star hotel and luxury apartment complex overlooking Lake Wakatipu.

This year, 12 premium exhibitors will be joining the Luxury Collection to showcase the bespoke experiences and accommodation on offer around the country.

MEETINGS is free to attend for event planners. Pre-scheduled appointments allow buyers to meet a choice of exhibitors from across New Zealand all under one roof, with 35 appointments in two days. International and regional domestic buyers will be fully hosted for their trip to New Zealand with the support of principal sponsor Air New Zealand and supporting hotels in Auckland city.

CINZ MEETINGS 2018 includes a pre-touring programme for Australian hosted buyers to a choice of eight different regions, starting on 25 May. After MEETINGS, Australian hosted buyers are also offered the opportunity to visit Middle Earth at the Hobbiton movie set in the Waikato region.
