Gold Coast’s business events community gears up for annual showcase

Gold Coast Business Events will roll out the red carpet for conference and meeting planners once again when its signature event takes place in June.

This is Gold Coast Business Exchange is now open for registrations with the three day event to take place from June 2 to 4 showcasing some of the best venues, experiences and professional services on offer for conferences on the Gold Coast.

The program will combine innovative themed events, site inspections and pre-scheduled appointments with Gold Coast meeting specialists and is designed to be a ‘one-stop-shop’ for planners.

The event, now in its third year, offers meeting planners the opportunity to see first-hand the business capabilities of the Gold Coast. Registrations are now open to conference and meeting organisers who plan, research and make decisions regarding events.

Gold Coast Tourism Director of Business Events, Anna Case says the event is a hot ticket item because it offers practical business appointments in conjunction with new ideas and concepts for unforgettable Gold Coast business events.

“This is Gold Coast really has gone from strength to strength and every year we have to raise the bar on an event which achieves an incredibly high standard,” she said.

Program highlights will include a welcome reception at Dreamworld to kick off the event, a themed beach party at the private island retreat, McLarens Landing and lunch at Palazzo Versace.

Hosted guests will also be some of the first to experience the brand new event space on the iconic Gold Coast beach, with an exclusive breakfast on Kurrawa Terrace.

A full day exhibition at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre will enable guests to meet with suppliers in pre-scheduled appointments and enjoy a themed lunch.

This is Gold Coast Business Exchange is an initiative of Gold Coast Business Events in collaboration with major meeting and accommodation venues, and specialist suppliers to the business events industry.

In 2015, the event generated $7.6 million in leads for future conferences and meetings on the Gold Coast.
