Helloworld Business Travel supports Royal Flying Doctors outback trek

Director of The Journeymasters and Helloworld Business Travel member Digby Warren will be setting off for the 10th time this June on The Outback Car Trek to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Once again Helloworld Business Travel is proud to be supporting Warren as a sponsor.

The Outback Car Trek is an annual event, and 2019 marks the 30th year with a target of a grand total of $30,000,000 raised over its history for the RFDS since their inception in 1990.

The RFDS is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world, delivering extensive primary health care and emergency service to those who live, work and travel throughout Australia.

Teaming up in Car 16 with his veteran co-pilot Mike Wheatley, who has done all 29 Treks to date, Digby and the team will be aiming to contribute as much money as possible through their sponsorships for such a worthy cause in the RFDS.

Leaving the Murray River town of Renmark on 3rd June 2019, Digby and his co-pilot will make their way with other participants via the Flinders Ranges, the Birdsville Track, Mt Isa, Hells Gate, Jabiru and Kakadu, to finish the Trek on 14th June 2019 in Darwin.

David Padman, Head of Associate, Corporate and Affiliate Networks at Helloworld Travel said that Helloworld Business Travel are delighted to support Digby and The Outback Car Trek again in 2019.

“We are proud to support Digby and his team with their inspiring efforts again this year for the Outback Car Trek and we are so pleased to see the proceeds from Digby and all the other participants going to such a crucial service providing invaluable support to the rural areas of our country,” David said.

“All of us at Helloworld Business Travel will be wishing Digby and all the teams the best of luck as they set off this year for the 30th anniversary of this great event.”
