Hilton Fiji targets MICE market with some stellar packages

Meeting planners looking for a destination with a difference will find a range of enticing packages available at Hilton’s two Fiji based properties.

These packages, along with recently opened event spaces, have been created specifically to attract Fiji’s growing MICE market.

From complete island buy-outs to intimate gatherings, Hilton Fiji boasts a range of innovative and flexible event spaces and packages across their two properties – Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa and DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji – Sonaisali Island.

For a truly memorable and unique experience, groups can now book exclusive use of DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji – Sonaisali Island.

Called the Experience Your Own Island package, it gives groups exclusive access to the lush, private tropical island the resort is located on.

Groups can enjoy access to all 120 guest rooms and bures that boast awe-inspiring views of the stunning Mamanuca Islands.

The resort boasts a variety of dining options, both formal and casual, multiple event spaces and plenty of leisure activities including horse riding, kayaking and paintball, as well as exclusive use of the lagoon style pool.

With a capacity of 240 delegates (based on twin share), packages include daily buffet breakfast, lunch at one of the resorts three restaurants, plus dinner at Vulani or Tavu restaurant.

Hilton’s original Fiji based property, located on Denarau Island, the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, has also introduced a selection of packages, making use of their inspiring new meeting spaces.

With the tagline, ‘Meet with a vision – What is on your horizon?’ the Vision Meeting Room, which opened last year, boasts uninterrupted views of the South Pacific Ocean.

Located on 2.5 kilometres of private beachfront, it is a versatile indoor and outdoor venue which caters for up to 240 guests and includes use of a wraparound balcony.

Meeting planners can also book exclusive use of KORO, a beachfront restaurant, bar and pool complex, which is located adjacent to the event venue and is designed exclusively for adults only to eat, drink, swim and relax.

This space can be booked for events in combination with the meeting facilities and is perfect for pre-or-post cocktail functions and dining.

Available now, the Meet Beachside package includes luxury accommodation, full buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner in one of the resorts various restaurants and use of Vision Meeting Room.

According to Mohammed Limdiwala, Cluster Director of Business Development at Hilton Fiji, these new packages have been designed to further entice meeting planners to choose one of the two Fiji based Hilton properties as their destination of choice when it comes to group bookings.

“We recognise the importance of this growing market and have developed these new facilities and flexible event packages to host and deliver world class events,” he said.

“We only opened Vision Meeting Room and KORO nine months ago, while DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji opened in May 2016. Therefore, all our facilities are new and modern.”

“From intimate gatherings to one-of-a-kind experiences such as exclusive use of your own tropical island, our friendly and highly trained staff will ensure all events run smoothly and professionally and are long remembered by all who attend,” he said.

“We encourage conference planners to speak with one of our events team to discuss the many meeting options and experiences we have available.”
