Wilpena Pound Resort Designs First-ever Aboriginal Accommodation App
Wilpena Pound Resort has released an app for visitors to South Australia’s spectacular Flinders Ranges, a first for an Australian Indigenous accommodation business.
The Wilpena Pound Resort Guide is free and available on Google Play and in the App Store.
Fully developed in-house, the new app is a welcome to Indigenous Adnyamathanha Country and comprehensive, pocket-sized guide to the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park, Wilpena Pound Resort, Ikara Safari Camp and Wilpena Pound Campground.
The app includes tips on making the most of a stay in Adnyamathanha Country with an introduction to local Indigenous culture, history and stories, as well as maps for self-guided walks and drives, weather updates and useful resort information and contacts.

Indigenous Artists-in-Residence at Longitude 131°
Baillie Lodges has announced a series of artists-in-residence visits planned for 2019 as part of its growing, mutually-beneficial relationship with the indigenous community at Ernabella in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands.
The Ernabella artists-in-residence program sees some of the community’s artists come to Longitude 131° for a few days at time, setting up an open studio in the Dune House and painting with views out to Uluru. Guests at Longitude 131° have the rare chance to see the artists creating beautiful artworks and chat to them about the process and their inspiration.
