ICESAP reveals line-up in Annual Conference

The Incentive, Conference & Event Society Asia Pacific (ICESAP) has revealed its 4th Annual ICESAP Conference program, with closed-door expert-lead leader’s forums on the first day, keynote presentations and panel sessions taking place on day two and agency lead innovation workshops on the final day.

It’s an action-packed agenda that mixes the latest in our business, with excellent social program showing off Shanghai’s famous style and ample networking opportunities.

Pulling no punches, the conference opens with keynote speaker Dr. Sun Weijia, Director General, Counsellors’ Office of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China who will articulate the“Belt and Road” initiative, what this means for tourism and its impact on our industry as a whole.

With a quick networking break to follow for delegates to catch their breath, the conference gets into the nitty gritty of Making Compliance a Priority for MICE Agencies in China, a session lead by Jack Yao, Secretary General, CCPIT Commercial Sub-council CCOIC Commercial Chamber of Commerce.

After a panel session on Data Privacy and Protection led by Isabelle Hajjar, General Counsel / Compliance and Data Privacy Officer, Pivot88, Megan Harris, Corporate Trainer and Head, Sales and Marketing, William Angliss Institute will provide an informative update on IC&E Certification driving Professionalism.

After a networking lunch, a diverse afternoon of content is kicked-off with a China customer’s panel session lead by Alicia Yao, Managing Director, IME Consulting on China Market Challenges and Opportunities; The Chinese Customer’s Perspective.

The expert panel includes Bert Li, Associate Director of Event Production, Amway China; Jason Yin, Director and General Manager, Ergo-China Life Insurance; Justine Zhou, Associate Director, Meeting Services China, Merck and Yuan Hao, Chairman, China MICE Committee.

Straight from this, attention is turned to Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality: Enhancing Brand Experience delivered by Googles Industry Leader, Lars Bratsberg before the days second panel session covers Environment Sustainability in the IC&E Sector with panelists Sam Stephens, Executive Director/ Chief Executive, Clean the World and Alison Taylor, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Distribution, American Airlines.

Industry expert Robin Lokerman, Group President, MCI takes the moderators chair to lead and guide an interesting discussion.

A secret special session follows this session and this will remain a tight-lipped secret until the session begins before the post conference and pre-gala dinner cocktails take place.

The conference has been instrumental in keeping industry practitioners ahead of the game, and this year is no exception. Taking place in Shanghai – one of Asia’s most important commercial hubs and home to hundreds of IC&E Event customers, agencies and suppliers – the 4th Annual ICESAP Conference will guide, inform and influence the future of the industry.

The conference takes place 06-08 September at the W Hotel Shanghai – The Bund. Conference information, program and registration details are available on the website http://www.icesap.org/conference
