InterContinental Sydney unveils reimagined meetings and events spaces

This month, InterContinental Sydney will reveal its highly anticipated renewed meetings and events spaces, housed within the 1851 heritage Treasury Building.

Late last year, the rooms commenced a renovation that saw all 15 spaces beautifully refurbished and reimagined in a transformation that set the scene for the hotel’s new events direction – The Entertainer’s Life.

In the first revamp since the hotel’s opening in 1985, the rooms have been modernised with contemporary touches and soft furnishings, enhancing the luxury status of the hotel and highlighting the best features of each space.

Plus, all have been installed with the most up-to-date, state-of-the-art audio and visual technology, taking event capabilities to new heights.

From lavish weddings to intimate corporate affairs, the spaces have been carefully re-designed to meet almost any request imaginable.

Catering to sit-down celebrations for 350 in the James Cook Ballroom and boardroom meetings for 20 in the Albert Room, each room has its own unique style and configuration, with many still showcasing their iconic original features that have been paired with brand-new finishes.

With a stable of refreshed rooms comes a new direction for the hotel’s events space, launching ‘The Entertainer’s Life’, a reinvigorated way of life at InterContinental Sydney that will breathe new inspiration into the rooms.

With a belief that all celebrations should be an occasion for generous hospitality, guests are invited on a journey of Immerse, Indulge and Inspire, covering elements such as bespoke catering and menu creations, plus introducing incredible, immersive money-can’t-buy experiences for delegates.

Adapting custom-designed events that are tailored precisely to the guests’ needs, Immerse sees a coveted collection of new spaces that will cement the foundation of the entertainer’s storytelling.

The art of entertaining starts with the right space and delegates will be guided from conception through to guest perception by the meetings and event experts.

Indulge presents bespoke epicurean experiences through tailored menus curated by Executive Chef Stephen Lech and his award-winning team.

From sprawling grazing tables piled high with must-have fresh produce to health-focused, nutritional bites, all visions can be customised.

Added to the collection is the exclusive ‘taste of the city’, producing themed experiences of Sydney’s renowned flavours, from the Sydney Fish Market to China Town.

Inspire takes advantage of the Circular Quay location, highlighting the city’s world-class offerings with partner-led experiences, exclusive to InterContinental Sydney.

Here, InterContinental Sydney has the ability to draw upon the arts, with up-close and personal performances from an Opera Australia artist and the gastronomic with hands-on masterclasses via the interactive Chef’s Table.

There’s also location-based activities from team building with a Harbour Bridge climb or on the pleasures of a private yacht.
