Meetings & Events Australia has launched a webinar program providing members with free access to high quality training online each month.

The first webinar for 2018 will be held on 31 January on the Sales Process presented by Nicole Bates, founder of Conversion Management.

This webinar will provide registrants with strategic advice to improve sales systems and processes and how to increase success rates in converting leads into sales.

This webinar program will complement MEA’s face-to-face professional development program which has proven to be a valuable resource for many of us in the industry over the years.

It will also provide the ability to upgrade professional skills within the industry – in particular those skills where shortages were identified in the Australian Workplace Skills Survey for the Events Industry Sector conducted by MEA last year.

Sales and business development skills were in the top five gaps identified in this research.

This important first webinar will provide an opportunity for anyone in the industry to upskill their sales performance or that of their teams.

Throughout 2018 MEA will deliver webinars each month on topics that provide practical training to assist in the delivery of exceptional events.

They will provide members with access to an educational resource designed specifically for our industry.

Robyn Johnson, CEO, Meetings & Events Australia says, “The beauty of webinars is they can be accessed anywhere in Australia which is great for our regional members and those unable to travel to attend seminars.

“Along with the online Diploma of Event Management course launched last year, MEA is providing high quality education for people making a career in the events industry.

“This is testament of how MEA is developing and delivering programs to create a more valuable and sustainable organisation that better represents and supports members’ interests”.

The webinars are available free to financial MEA members and can be accessed by non-members for a small fee.
