MOJO does Melbourne

Australian restaurateur Luke Mangan is drawing together some of the finest food and wine talent from his home town Melbourne and bringing them to Sydney for a one-night-only cheeky sit-down dinner in his Waterloo warehouse, MOJO.

To put an end to the inter-city rivalry once and for all, MOJO does Melbourne will showcase the cutting-edge dining from south of the border that has got everyone’s talking – from classic laneway eateries to seasonal produce, without ever having to leave Sydney.

Hosted by Luke, the four-course dinner will feature courses cooked by Gen-Y-wunderkind, Adrian Li from Saigon Sally, Australian-Italian legendary chef Guy Grossi from his Melbourne CBD establishment Grossi Florentino, Electrolux Australian Young Chef of the Year Jake Kellie from the Lakeside Mill in Pakenham, and Teage Ezard from must-visit eatery Gingerboy and the two-hatted Ezard.

The night will begin with canapes on arrival, then followed by a dining journey that showcases both Victorian produce and star dishes from each of the chefs’ repertoires, past, present and future.

“We are very lucky as the Australian food scene is absolutely amazing, and as much as Sydney is my home today, I always suggest that Melbourne should be on anyone’s list of cities to dine in. It is exciting, vibrant and has a fantastic range of great restaurants… and amazing chefs” Mangan said.

“Drawing together some of my best mates in the Melbourne food scene, this will no doubt set to be a pretty fun and tasty evening!”

The dinner will be limited to a select number of seats, with each guest receiving canapes and a cocktail on arrival starring Melbourne’s Four-Pillars gin, followed by four decadent courses created especially for the event to showcase what each of the chefs do best. The menu comes with matching wines from Victoria’s finest vineyards.
