New affordable events app on market

Australian event technology company Currinda have announced the public release of a native mobile event app, taking on big names in the industry by making the first native event app that integrates with both registration and abstract software.

Currinda’s managing director Michael Gall said the company created the event app to tackle the main challenges and barriers that event managers face when it comes to on-the-go event technology.

“We think everyone should have access to great event technology. By taking the integrated approach to building the native app, we’ve made event apps more accessible to smaller PCOs, their clients, and associations who wouldn’t usually be able to afford them,” Gall said.

After offering a HTML5 web-based app for many years, Currinda wanted to give users a more streamlined, yet affordable solution to off-the-shelf native event apps in the market.

“The difference between the Currinda app and an off-the-shelf product is that our event and submissions software already has all the event information inside it, there’s no need to import anything from external programs to create the app. It’s all designed to work together. This is a huge time and money saver,” Gall said.

With event managers responsible for many trade tools, Currinda are attempting to reduce the amount of tools event managers have to use, to reduce errors and keep event teams on the same page.

“Our ethos has always been to reduce burden on event managers by developing event technology that works together to make their lives easier. The native event app is a natural extension to this,” he said.

The Currinda app which is available for both iOS and Android devices, can be customised to each event and includes full event schedule capabilities, trade maps, live polling, push notifications and personalised program planning for delegates.

“When we build event software, we build it for both event managers and delegates. The backend technology must be easy to use and have the functionality event managers want, while the front end must be user-friendly for delegates and do everything they expect it to do. That’s what we’ve achieved with our integrated native app,” Gall said.
