Partnership is key to Sydney’s A$360 million success

Business Events Sydney (BESydney) has reported a strong $360 million pipeline of meetings, conventions and incentives secured for Sydney at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and celebrated Sydney being the number one city in Australia for business events.
To date, BESydney has secured over 82 international events that will deliver more than $360 million in direct expenditure to New South Wales (NSW) arriving in the city between 2017 – 2023.
At the AGM, held as a test event at the new International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), Chairman Mr Col Hughes said that partnerships have been essential to these strong results.

 

World Congress: a record-breaking event

Under the banner, ITS Enhancing Liveable Cities and Communities, the 23rd World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in Melbourne earlier this month hosted almost 11,500 delegates from more than 70 countries, making it the largest congress that MCI Australia has ever staged in Australia and the largest non-medical congress ever held in Victoria.

Korea gears up to host test events for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games

The upcoming 2016/17 winter season in Korea will be a great time for visitors to enjoy a preview of venues and events at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games.  For Australians who enjoy skiing and snowboarding there is a great opportunity to ski and snowboard Korea whilst enjoying winter in Korea before the rest of the  world arrives for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games.

With less than 500 days to go till the opening ceremony of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games on February, 9, 2018 Korea is gearing up to host test events for the Winter Olympic Games from November to March next year.   A total of twenty-nine test events are scheduled to take place to ensure the readiness of all venues for the Games.

Of the twenty-nine test events taking place twenty-one events  will offer free tickets to spectators who  wish to attend.  To apply for free or paid tickets to test events join as a member online at the official website and get your confirmation to pick up tickets on arrival at venues.  Paid tickets will be available at venue ticket offices two hours prior to the event and free tickets can be picked up also at venue ticket offices with confirmation number and proof of identity.
