Park Hyatt Melbourne makes genius hiring decision

Stop everything – hotels are now hiring dogs!!!

Okay, maybe only the Park Hyatt Melbourne is. But hopefully its a growing trend.

Mr Walker is the hotels cutest ever employee – he’s an 18-month-old labrador who likes walks, pets and cuddles. Excuse us whilst we book flights to Melbourne.

Just look at his little doggy hotel bed!

Brett Sweetman, manager of the Park Hyatt Melbourne, told Daily Mail Australia that Mr Walker is also bringing happiness to hotel guests and employees alike.

“Mr Walker’s presence has not only brought a new level of comfort to guests staying at the hotel, but has also made a significant impact in boosting morale among the associates here at the hotel,” he said.

He was originally supposed to be a guide dog, according to Daily Mail, but ultimately the program didn’t bring out the best of the pups personality.

So Mr Walker left his guide dog life behind to become an ambassador for the Park Hyatt – where he raises awareness and funds for other guide dogs.

“We are very proud to be able to count Walker as part of our family, and to be able to work together with Guide Dogs Victoria to support such an important cause,” Sweetman said.

“I am confident that Mr Walker will make everyone feel at home here at Park Hyatt Melbourne.”

Mr Walker is very happy with his new family – and can’t wait to meet everyone who sets foot inside the Park Hyatt.
