Perth welcomes back TEDx 2015

The TEDxPerth is back for another year, with a few new surprises.

Perth Convention Bureau (PCB) has announced it will be an affiliate partner of TEDxPerth 2015 for the second year running, while also launching a fresh award in support of the program and local speakers.

PCB has launched the TEDxPerth 2015 Travel Award, designed to assist in the professional development of the speakers whilst attending an international conference.

PCB is responsible for marketing Perth and Western Australia as a Business Events Destination.

Conferences raise the individual’s professional profile, facilitates expansion and commercialisation of research development programs, disseminates knowledge locally and attracts investment and tourism.

Applicants who are successful will be granted up to a maximum of $5000 which may be used for travel, accommodation, transfers and registration at an international conference of their focus.

TEDxPerth 2015 will take place on Saturday November 7 at the Perth Concert Hall and will feature Perth’s finest thinkers and doers, and provide a forum to share their ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’ with an audience that is highly motivated, influential and engaged.

TEDxPerth 2015 aims to be a beacon for all that is remarkable, challenging and thought-provoking in Perth, and to both celebrate and raise the intellectual ambition and culture of WA.
