Pictures: Here’s a sneak peek at Perth’s new Westin hotel
Marriott International has announced the official opening of Westin Perth, offering business and leisure travellers a relaxing getaway in a buzzing and connected city location, setting a new standard of refined sophistication in Perth.
“We are delighted to open the doors to this world-class property,” Peter Brampton, General Manager, The Westin Perth said.
“The Westin brand is synonymous with well-being and we believe the property will deliver a unique hospitality offering to the West Australian hotel market.”
“This is the first of four new Westin properties opening in Australian over the coming years, including sites in Brisbane, Darwin and Coolum.”
With 368 guest rooms including ten Club Suites, eight Westin Suites, five Executive Suites and one Presidential Suite, the latest addition to Perth’s five-star hotel offering is designed to impress.
Inspired by nature, with spaces that speak to an indoor-outdoor lifestyle, the contemporary interiors at The Westin Perth are by Melbourne-based, boutique design firm BAR Studio.
Throughout the hotel there’s an evocative sense of place, with the design taking its cue from the light and landscape of Western Australia, as well as the alfresco Perth lifestyle.
Westin Perth’s signature restaurant, Garum, is acclaimed chef Guy Grossi’s first bricks and mortar venture outside of Victoria. Grossi is one of Australia’s most respected chefs, an author of five cookbooks and a passionate fan of West Australian produce and wines.
Garum offers guests a contemporary Roman dining experience in the stunning heritage listed Hibernian Hall, a Perth landmark. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days per week.
The Haven Lounge, located in the hotel lobby offers guests light meals, crafted cocktails and signature Westin High Teas.
For business and conference guests, the hotel offers over 2300 sqm of event space across 9 meeting venues, including an 800sqm pillar-less grand ballroom.
All event space is flooded with natural light and is equipped with the latest in audio-visual technology.
Every guest will enjoy the generously sized guest rooms, ranging from the 42 sqm Deluxe Room to the 240 sqm Presidential Suite. Guests can luxuriate in their spacious room, enjoying the revitalizing walk-in rain shower, Westin’s world renowned Heavenly Bed and Linen plus White Tea amenities.
All rooms feature striking artwork and photography showcasing unique West Australian landscapes.
Club Rooms also have access to The Executive Club Lounge for gourmet breakfast and evening drinks and canapés.
Westin signature touches can be experienced in every facet of the hotel from the Heavenly Bed, to the Eat Well Menu for Kids and the Eat Well Meeting Breaks menu offering.
Whether guests are taking a break or travelling for business it doesn’t mean they have to put their fitness and lifestyle goals on hold.
The Westin WORKOUTTM Gear Lending Program helps travellers pack light and stay fit, with the hotel offering New Balance shoes and clothing for guests to use during their stay for only $5.00 AUD, enabling guests to maintain their workout routine without the added bulk of travelling with their fitness gear.
Westin Perth guests will enjoy 24/7 access and state of the art Technogym equipment in the WestinWORKOUTTM Fitness Studio or for those who prefer exercising outdoors they can take part in RunWESTINTM.
Guests can ask the concierge for the RunWESTINTM local running maps that will take runners to iconic Perth locations such as Kings Park, the Swan River and Elizabeth Quay.
Guests can also join a group run which is led by a Run Concierge where available.
For guests seeking some time out, Westin Weekend packages allow guests to stay longer with extended breakfast hours and a late Sunday checkout.
Guests with families need not worry about what their children will be eating with the Westin Eat Well Menu for Kids.
Guests can expect kids’ meals that are as delicious as they are nutritious, developed in partnership with a team of experts at SuperChefsTM.
These initiatives are designed to embody the brand’s Six Pillars of Wellbeing: Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well, and Play Well.
The Westin Perth aims to empower guests to regain control and enhance their well-being when they need it most while travelling, ensuring they can be the best version of themselves and leave feeling better than when they arrived.
The hotel is located in the revitalized East End quarter of Perth CBD known as the ‘Historic Heart’ of the city.
Nearby highlights include running and cycling tracks around the Swan River, Kings Park, the Perth Central Business District and Northbridge nightlife and entertainment districts.
Day trips by boat take visitors to Rottnest Island, home of the Quokka, a marsupial unique to WA, or by car to the nearby popular Swan Valley vineyards and the world-famous wineries and beaches of Margaret River.
