Roll up, roll up! QT Perth to ‘audition’ new staff

When the highly anticipated QT Perth opens its doors on August 1 2018, there will be some exceptional local talent and creatives waiting to greet the hotel’s first guests and in signature QT style, finding the best of the best won’t be through your average recruitment drill.

The newest addition to QT Hotels & Resorts; the fastest growing designer hotel brand in Australia, will employ buskers, street artists and surprises as part of their brand immersion program, to be held in partnership with the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), with the aim to find staff who embody everything QT represents – creativity, high energy, customer-centric guest service and entertainment.

Prospective QT staff will undertake a mock audition process hosted by the famed performing arts college, treading the same boards that notable alumni Hugh Jackman, Jai Courtney, Lucy Durack and Dacre Montgomery have walked. Applicants will partake in theatrical roleplay and impromptu interviews in order to let their personality shine through.

QT is seeking true individuals with a passion for the creative industries and devoted interest in exceptional hospitality, and with job descriptions like “Director of Chaos”, you can expect the unexpected at QT.

Building on a global reputation for bold interiors, cutting-edge art and luxury with a touch of quirk, QT Perth – a polished diamond in the vivacious heart of the inner city, merging modern glamour with urban cool – will bring a chic new designer landmark to the city’s cultural heartland, transforming the old CineCentre complex address.

Dedicated to upholding a world-class reputation, QT offers prospective hospitality buffs a broad range of career paths for people with varied experience and backgrounds to work alongside an innovative team of influencers, culinary experts and award-winning product, all of which are synonymous with the QT brand.
