Seoul searching with DMS

DMS escorted a group of Australian conference and incentive organisers on an educational through technically advanced yet deeply traditional Seoul with Pacific World.

Partnering with Asiana Airlines and IHG, the group uncovered the unexplored delights of South Korea.

A truly surreal experience, the group took on the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) tour; the buffer zone that slashes across the peninsula, separating North and South Korea. To change the pace the group then visited Gyeongbokgung Palace and witnessed the colourful and charismatic changing of the guard ceremony.

The group also had the privilege of meeting the head monk at Bongwonsa Temple which was built 1200 years ago, where he expressed the thanks that the people of South Korea feel towards Australia as a nation, for all their support and assistance during the war.

Then onto a contrast of delights – the group walked through Gwangjang Market, the nation’s first market place tasting local treats and then set foot into the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a modern masterpiece in the heart of Seoul, finishing with a city lit dinner from the 59th floor at ‘Walking on the Cloud’.

The group also gained exclusive access to the largest Johnny Walker House in the World (there are only 4 worldwide).

South Korea is fast becoming the ‘soul’ of Asia, enticing conference and incentive groups with its offering of diverse and unusual options within this region.
