Sheraton on the Park awarded conference hotel
Sheraton on the Park has been named “Conference Hotel of the Year” at the 2016 Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) Awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence, held at the Four Points by Sheraton Darling Harbour Sydney on Thursday 21st July, 2016.
The TAA (NSW) Awards for Excellence are recognised as the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry, honouring the achievement of excellence in service and judged by a selected panel of industry experts and leading travel editors and writers.
This win cements Sheraton on the Park’s reputation as the hotel of choice for meetings and events in Sydney.
Sheraton on the Park, Managing Director, Sean Hunt, said the award proves the hotel’s commitment to providing a superior product through the hard work and dedication of each and every one of the hotel associates.

Accommodating from 10 to 1600 guests, the hotel is one of the largest conference hotels in the city. An abundance of natural light throughout, wireless internet access, outdoor terraces and meeting concierge services guarantee the utmost in comfort and friendly service.
Meeting planners are spoilt for choice at Sheraton on the Park, which features over 2500 square metres of function space, 18 versatile meeting rooms, pre-function areas and break-out spaces, providing the ideal space for any special event.
The pillarless Grand Ballroom, complete with natural light, caters up to 900 theatre style and 550 banquet style and boasts integrated high definition audio visual equipment. The executive style ‘Meetings On 5’ is dedicated to board meetings, VIP gatherings, or intimate conferences for 2 to 22 guests, with luxurious boardrooms, an outdoor terrace, innovative catering and Meeting Concierge services.
Offering the fastest wireless internet connection in Sydney with 160MB connection at all times and throughout the entire property, the hotel is ahead of the competition by at least 60MB. On request, the property is able to offer up to 1,000MB for high calibre meetings and events.
