The Aussie events calendar for May

Daily plans

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) reckons May will be one of this year’s busiest months for the Australian events sector, and having a geez at this calendar, they’re not wrong!

With close to 50 events being held across the health, technology, business, education, manufacturing, design and construction industries, it’s going to be a crazy few weeks ahead.

Among the events coming up this month are: DesignBUILD (winner of the EEAA 2016 Awards for Excellence Best Trade Show over 10,000m2), CeBIT, National Manufacturing Week, The Dog Lovers Show – Melbourne (winner of the EEAA 2014 Awards for Excellence Best Consumer Show under 10,000m2), Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo – Perth and the 2017 Cairns Home Show and Caravan, Camping & Boating Expo.

Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio, said it was encouraging to see so much taking place across the country including many regulars of the annual events calendar.

“Exhibitions and events are valuable marketplaces for industry specific information products and services, face-to-face knowledge sharing, learning, development and networking that no other channel can offer,” she said.

“There is a healthy appetite to visit and participate in exhibitions and as a result we are seeing the return of popular shows that have cemented their place within their communities and in our annual calendar.

“The EEAA 2017 Calendar of Trade and Consumer Exhibitions and Events highlights a rich portfolio of upcoming exhibitions and events, and we are pleased to see a busy month ahead for the industry.”
