The Big Cheese with Emporium Hotel’s Peter Savoff

Brisbane’s newest boutique luxury hotel, Emporium Hotel South Bank, will commence a soft opening in August 2018, with select rooms and amenities available.

The Hotel’s extensive food and beverage offerings by Executive Chef Josue Lopez, including Belle Époque, Piano Bar, signature restaurant Opal, and the coveted rooftop bar, The Terrace, will commence a staggered opening from mid-August, with the Hotel to be fully operational by mid-September.

Personal: My family

Professional: Our first Emporium Hotel, which was located in Fortitude Valley, was named Best Luxury Accommodation three years in a row by the Queensland Tourism Awards, which led to us officially entering the Tourism Hall of Fame.

This was a major achievement and was testament to the Emporium’s ownership, leadership, the commitment of each team member and the level of accommodation.

This is certainly something that we will aim to win again at our new hotel, Emporium Hotel South Bank.

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be…

The growth of incentive conferences in Brisbane and, of course, the opening of Emporium Hotel South Bank! We have a strong, state-of-the-art MICE offering, all set within an aspirational luxury, boutique hotel, complete with stunning food and beverage outlets.

It’s an exciting offering that we look forward to offering our guests.

In many ways Brisbane is still a hidden gem in terms of its MICE offering. For those who don’t know Brisbane or haven’t visited for a while, it’s certainly time to take another look, particularly at the development of the city’s stunning hotels.
