The hidden delights of KL’s convention centre

The bustling city of Kuala Lumpur is the last place you’d expect to encounter a Tiger Shark or Giant Stingray, but that’s exactly what you’ll see when entering Aquaria.

A 90 metre long transparent moving walkway takes visitors under the sea with amazing Sand Tiger Sharks, Giant Stingrays, Marine Turtles and an array of other sea creatures, great and small.

The beauty of the experience is that there’s no need to travel to remote locations to witness the animals – they’re housed in the 60,000 sq metre space of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, in the heart of the city.

Adventurous travellers can get up close and personal to the sharks with the Cage Rage or Dive with Sharks packages, available on site.

For some, sharks are nicer when they’re seen sleeping – and that’s on offer too! The kids-only Aquaria KLCC’s Sleep with Sharks program provides a rare opportunity for children to feed the Giant Monsters at the Malaysian Flooded Forrest and the unique chance to see what sharks get up to when the lights go out.
