This is Gold Coast Business Exchange opens for applications

This is Gold Coast Business Exchange is set to be bigger and better than ever in 2018, with a fun and fast-paced program designed to inspire conference planners and event organisers.

The signature event, initiated by Destination Gold Coast, is now open for registration.

The three-day program will be held from 31 May – 2 June to showcase some of the best venues, experiences and professional services on offer for conferences on the Gold Coast.

The program will host around 40 meeting planners and 5 media representatives, as well as offer a concurrent stream for approximately 20 professional conference organisers.

New ideas and concepts for innovative conferences will be showcased, as well as an enticing sample of the Gold Coast’s local cuisine.

Program highlights will include a welcome reception at one of the Gold Coast’s hippest venues, the eclectic street market Miami Marketta, and breakfast at the city’s newest hotel, Mantra at Sharks Event Centre.

The final day will include a lunch event at Polo by the Sea, to capture the excitement of an urban polo match in action.

Last year, This is Gold Coast Business Exchange generated over $13.5 million in leads for future conferences and meetings on the Gold Coast, with 83 per cent of buyers who attended the program indicating they were more likely to book the Gold Coast for a future business event.

Director of Global Business Events, Anna Case says the event continues to inspire extraordinary business events on the Gold Coast.

“This is Gold Coast offers the ultimate ‘one-stop shop’ to plan and deliver a successful business event.

“Seeing first-hand the venues, sampling our cuisine and seeing our specialist suppliers in action creating spectacular events leaves meeting planners with the ideas and connections to create an unforgettable conference,” she said.

There’s also the option to stay on for an extra 24 hours for a post-familiarisation with the promise of a few extra unforgettable Gold Coast experiences before wrapping up on Sunday 3 June 2018.

This is Gold Coast Business Exchange is hosted by the Global Business Events division of Destination Gold Coast in collaboration with major meeting and accommodation venues and specialist suppliers to the business events industry.

Registration is now open to apply to attend.
