Wellbeing climbs up IMEX agenda

Wellbeing climbs up IMEX agenda

Delegates at IMEX America in Las Vegas last week laced up their sneakers to take part in a 5km run inspired by the Olympic city of Rio de Janeiro as wellbeing climbed up the show’s agenda.

The activity, the second of its kind, was one of the new wellbeing features introduced by the show to highlight the importance of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle for busy professionals.

“As meetings professionals we run hard every day at work and on the road and wellness is a topic that is important not only in our own lives and careers but also as an important facet of the client and company programs we are creating,” IMEX chief executive Carina Bauer said. “We think the IMEXrun Las Vegas captures the dynamic, caring, strong and community-driven spirit of our industry.”

The concept was devised by Sports by TLC – an event specialist which promotes the healthy lifestyle trends and the benefits of sports with offices in Brazil, Portugal and Spain.
