World’s first 24-hour in-room hotel assistant debuts

Have you ever been staying at a hotel and at 3am find yourself completely unaware of how to operate the toilet?

Or maybe you’ve woken up at 2am freezing cold from the air-con without any idea of how to turn it on.

Well, fret no more, Angie is here to save the day.

That’s right, the world’s first 24-hour interactive guest room assistant purpose-built for the hotel environment is coming to Sydney.

Angie Hospitality, the creator of Angie, a voice-activated device developed with hotel guests and staff in mind, will be appearing at the NoVacancy Accommodation Business Expo in July, bringing its extensive and innovative services to the Australian market.

Providing 24-hour services to hotel guests and staff, the interactive device is able to respond to requests directly via simple voice commands or through its high-resolution interactive touchscreen.

The purpose-built device was specifically designed to solve multiple challenges that the hotel industry faces, offering proprietors a wealth of operational proficiencies, and providing customers with a radical solution to in-room services.

Angie offers a multitude of services to guests, including ordering room service, making reservations, room control, and connecting to personal, secure and customisable Wi-Fi.

Through the use of integrated Bluetooth speakers, Angie can also connect to multiple guest devices to play music or serve as a speakerphone.

In addition to its many guest-facing benefits, Angie offers a multitude of operational efficiencies to allow properties to maximise their bottom line.

The high-resolution touchscreen can serve as interactive in-room digital signage to replace the printed in-room directory and encourage guests to use onsite amenities.

Angie also acts as an energy management system to recognise unoccupied rooms and control air temperature and lighting, lowering utility costs and ultimately making the property more economically sustainable.

With a plethora of capabilities, Angie has the potential to make a significant impact on the guest experience and hotel operations.

As the 2017 HTNG TechOvation Award winner, Angie is already offering its services to North America and Europe, with plans to expand to hotels across the globe later this year.

Angie Hospitality will bring its state-of-the-art technology to Australia at the two-day NoVacancy Accommodation Business Expo trade event – the largest event for hotel and accommodation professionals in the region, as part of its global expansion.

NoVacancy attendees will gain valuable insight on how Angie operates and how it will impact the overall customer and hotel management experience.

NoVacancy is the new, free-to-attend tradeshow with 2000+ accommodation professionals expected over the two days.

The exhibition promises networking, a high-quality education program and more than 150 vendors and suppliers showcasing products and services focused on running better businesses.
