The organisers of the Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) are promising a unique line up for the 2013 tradeshow, including a number of new programs and initiatives.

As exclusively revealed to The Nibbler this week, AIME 2013 will feature a US Pavilion to assist buyers looking to do business in the United States. Designed as a one-stop-shop for buyers, the new initiative follows feedback from AIME 2012, which found 48% of hosted buyers are looking to North America for their conferences and events.

AIME has also partnered with the A List Guide to introduce a new meeting place to next year’s show floor. The A List Open House will be a dedicated area where visitors can meet with new event suppliers and discuss business ideas.

Also new to the 2013 show is the Future Events Experience – a dedicated technology platform, along with a new line up of educational seminars.

Pre-tour options have also been updated to include Mildura, the Great Ocean Road, Yarra Valley and Phillip Island.

AIME director Sally de Swart, is confident of an “impressive” turnout, despite the date change for the 2013 show, which is traditionally held in March each year.

“February best suits the industry diary and allows AIME to remain the first meetings and incentives event on the year’s calendar,” she said. “We’re confident that the change of date will actually increase attendance rather than have a negative impact.

AIME 2013 will be held on February 26-27 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC). Hosted buyer earlybird rates are only available before October 26, 2012. Visit www.aime.com.au for details.
