AIME celebrates 20th anniversary

AIME celebrates 20th anniversary
By admin

Now in its 20th year, the Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meeting Expo (AIME) is welcoming a number of new sponsors and initiatives for 2012.

Hosted at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the annual event provides attendees with valuable meeting and networking opportunities for the business events industry.

Next month’s event is shaping up to be the biggest yet, according to Reed Travel Exhibitions director for AIME, Sally de Swart, who says many new sponsors have joined this year.

“This year we are seeing destinations increasing their numbers of trade partners at the show and therefore needing to increase the size of their stands. Also organisations which have previously shared a stand are branching out and committing to their own stand in order to have more exposure at AIME,” she said.

The popular Saxton Ultimate Event Experience will return this year and will be joined by a new Association Lounge for members to use during meetings and two new pre-touring options for buyers to experience Melbourne and surrounding regions first hand.

Running across February 21-22, daily coverage will be provided by AIME Daily, reporting on news from the show ground as well as events taking place around the city. Look out for a copy being handed out at the doors and at stands throughout the venue.

The Nibbler will also be attending AIME, so keep an eye out for Colin the mouse and follow us on Facebook or Twitter to keep up to date throughout the event.
