Australia promotes culinary appeal at EIBTM
By admin

Australia’s business events industry has joined forces with Tourism Australia at trade show EIBTM, currently underway, to showcase the very best Australia has to offer, with food a particular focus.

According to a recent survey by Tourism Australia, only 26% of travellers associated Australia for good food and wine before visiting. However after experiencing first hand Australia’s culinary delights it was often ranked number one among many British and French visitors.

In general, visitors from Europe rank Australia as second for its culinary offering, putting it just behind France, but beating out Italy who came in third.

The partnership between Australia’s business events industry and Tourism Australia at EIBTM aims to highlight the solid reputation of Australia as a culinary destination, wich is helping to attract business events to the country.

“EIBTM is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the latest innovations and offerings from across Australia’s vibrant business events industry, and remind the world why there’s nothing like Australia,” Penny Lion, Head of Business Event Australia, remarked.

EIBTM runs from the 19 to 21 November 2013 in Barcelona.
