Countdown to Dreamtime well underway

The countdown to Tourism Australia’s Dreamtime is well underway with 86 business events planners and buyers to converge in Melbourne in less than four week time.

They will be joined by 15 international media representatives for the event which will take place from December 9 to 13, with the Melbourne component to be followed by three days of educational visits to areas around Australia.

The program will set the industry benchmark, and illustrate Australia’s point of difference within the competitive incentive market, according to TA managing director Andrew McEvoy.

“Tourism Australia and our host city partner, the Melbourne Convention Bureau are extremely excited to be welcoming qualified international buyers from key markets of North Asia, South East Asia, North America, UK and New Zealand to Australia,” he said.

“The Dreamtime program highlights some of the incredible Australian destinations and experiences that will both excite and inspire our buyers to hold corporate incentive programs in Australia in the future.”

This year’s event features its largest ever contingent of industry participants, with 12 national operators, two-supporting airlines and 55 state-based operators from across Australia to be represented.
