John Farnham wowed thousands of guests at The Star’s $100 million event centre last week, marking the first public performance at the new facility.

A sell out crowd of 3,000 guests took to the new centre last Thursday to catch a glimpse of John’s first live show in Sydney.

More than a decade after announcing his ‘retirement’ from national touring, Farnham didn’t look any closer to throwing in the towel, rattling off a number of hit songs including You’re The Voice, Two Strong Hearts and Age of Reason.

Completed in late December, The Star Event Centre marks the final stage of The Star’s $870 million redevelopment.

The rooftop venue can accommodate 4,000 guests in concert mode and up to 1,000 dining guests.
