The Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) has welcomed two regional sales directors to its offices in Asia.
Edward Kwek will head up the Singapore office as regional sales director South Asia, while Jessica Chang has been appointed as regional sales director North Asia. She joins business development manager China, Jenny Yang in the Shanghai office.
Making the announcements yesterday, MCB chief executive Karen Bolinger said the changes were part of the bureau’s Asia strategy to “fully immerse” MCB in the region.
"North and South Asia are very important markets for MCB, particularly for corporate and incentive business, so it is essential that these regions are serviced effectively,” she said.
Kwek and Chang will focus on implementing MCB’s Asia strategy under the management of director international incentives, Jasmine Lim.
“It really is an exciting time for MCB and I have every faith in Edward and Jessica to deliver strong results for Melbourne out of Asia,” Bolinger said.
Chang will step into the role on April 1, while Kwek will start on May 13.
