Staging Connections will lead discussion on audience engagement at Inspire EX over 18 and 19 August 2014 at Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island.

Highlighting the increasing importance of Audience Engagement, the session discussions will take place in the Tech Hub, facilitated by Digital Event Services general manager Tim Chapman. 

The topics covered by the session will include industry trends, Staging Connections’ recently launched set of Audience Engagement Tools, hybrid events and products such as social media integration.

 

Chinese company Wanda Group announced it will develop tourism-related infrastructure in Australia worth $900 million.

A move welcomed by Minister for Trade and Investment Andrew Robb, the first project will be a triple-tower, beachfront resort on the Gold Coast, The Jewel. This will include Wanda Vista, a luxury five star hotel with approximately 160 rooms. 

“The addition of a new luxury Chinese hotel brand to the Australian market will have benefits across Australia’s tourism industry,” Robb said.

 

Language and linguistic specialists will descend on the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) this week for the 17th World Congress of the International Association of Applied Linguistics (AILA 2014).

The event will attract some 1400 delegates from 80 countries and is worth approximately $21 million.

The six day Congress will discuss and debate topics around the theme ‘One World, Many Languages’. Organisers say Australia is the ideal destination for the congress with more than 200 Aboriginal languages and a multi -cultural society.
