Mantra Group is pushing forward with its domestic expansion plans with the announcement of new properties in Brisbane and Townsville

The Group will add to its 115-strong Australian network with the management of the recently refurbished Skyline Court apartment complex, to rebrand to BreakFree Fortitude Valley Brisbane in March 2014.

In Townsville, the firm has formally signed a management agreement on a brand new 185-room hotel, to be known as Mantra Townsville, set to open in 2016.

Further additions to its Australian network for 2014 are “imminent”, Mantra revealed.

South East Asian destination management company Trails of Indochina has launched an e-version of its 2014-15 Tailored Experience Collection as it continues to expand the program to cater to the changing needs of its customers.

The collection, which launched in August 2013, features bespoke experiences across a range of destinations with the company’s footprint expanding into China and Indonesia. In addition to a wide range of resorts, the new program features river cruises and “once in a lifetime” experiences such as private temple dinners and philanthropic activities.

“Travellers have also evolved and their interest in engaging more deeply with our destinations has led to Trails of Indochina’s development of our ‘Tailored Experiences’,” founder John Nguyen said.

“More importantly, what has defined Trails of Indochina in the past is the way we connect our guests with noteworthy individuals who share our passion for revealing the spirit of this fascinating continent. We have discovered experts in history, art, religion and culinary arts who are ready to educate and inspire.”

Sheraton Melbourne Hotel has appointed André Jacques as its new director of sales and marketing ahead of its opening in late March.
