Emirates will expand capacity on South East Asian routes with the addition of a second daily direct Airbus A380 service to Bangkok and a fourth daily A330-200 service to Hong Kong, both from October 27.

The A330-220 Hong Kong service will be upgraded to a Boeing 777-300ER later this year.

 

Staging Connections has promoted technical director Daniel Lourenco to the role of head of production, Sydney.

Lourenco has been with the firm since 1998.

 

Event and exhibition product and service firm Moreton Hire has appointed Rebecca Murdoch as its national corporate sales manager responsible for its custom stands department.

 

Intercontinental Hotels Group has opened its fourth Crowne Plaza hotel in Oman. The Crowne Plaza Duqm on the beachfront of the coastal town is aiming to capture the destination's growing corporate travel market.

 

The Taj Group, India’s largest hospitality group, has launched its 100th hotel in India – the Vivanta by Taj in the millennium city of Gurgaon, 30km south of New Delhi.

The group has 117 hotels globally with a total of 26 hotels part of the Vivanta by Taj portfolio.

 

FCm Travel Solutions has appointed Charles Brossman, formerly of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, to the Seattle-based role of senior director – global travel risk management.
