Tourism Portfolio will hold an event for incentive and corporate meeting planners at Sydney's flagship Tommy Bahamas Store on June 24 to highlight the appeal of Hawaii as a destination for Australian groups.

The event, held in partnership with North American destination management company Lizard IncentEvents, kicks of at 5.30pm at the store located in the Ivy Building on George Street.

Hawaiian-inspired canapés and cocktails will be dished up to guests as they learn about the range of activities available across the Hawaiian Islands with prizes up for grab with sponsors including Marriott International, Hawaiian Airlines and Hawaiian Tourism Oceania are also supporting the event.

 

Audiovisual provider AVPartners is offering an end of financial year promotion in conjunction with Swissôtel Sydney for events booked before July 31.

The promotion includes complimentary audio packages for all Vision Packages and also 50% off AV add-ons, for all events booked in level 8 conference rooms of the Sydney CBD property.

In addition, it is offering 50% off plasma or LED television displays and complimentary Polycom teleconferencing units for boardroom bookings.

 

The completion of the fit-out of Airberlin’s new business class cabins on its Airbus A330 fleet makes it the only German carrier to offer fully flat seats on long haul flights in the business cabin.

The all-new configuration also includes direct aisle access from every seat.

 

The official events industry tradeshow, Inspire EX, has announced its exclusive airline partnership with Delta Air Lines for the 2014 event.

Inspire EX will take place on the 18 and 19 August 2014 at Sydney Exhibition Centre, Glebe Island.

 

The Microhire Group has secured in-house contracts with both Melbourne Marriott Hotel and Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa.

 

Southern Cross Sports Marketing (SXSM) is offering corporate hospitality packages for all three Origin matches, priced at $1,190 and $795 per person for Brisbane and Sydney, respectively.

The packages feature offers such as corporate match seating, pre and post-game functions with league stars, live entertainment and gourmet food and beverages. 

 

Captain Cook Cruises is offering a variety of dining cruises from May 23 to June 9 to celebrate the return of Vivid Sydney.

Passengers on-board will have the chance to view the spectacular light projections of the festival, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.

 

The Star, Sydney will also be celebrating Vivid Sydney, lighting up as a new feature attraction in the annual celebration of light, music and ideas.

The Star will host a major light show each evening on the hotel exteriors, depicting Sydney’s world-famous lifestyle, which will be visible from inside the Star and from vantage points around the city.
