SilverNeedle Hospitality is offering a range a value add-ons to their conference services this May as the hotel firm seeks to demonstrate its commitment to local businesses and the MICE market as a whole.

The offers combine conference and catering services at its Grand Chifley, Chifley, Australis and Country Comfort properties Australia-wide, with services such as a half hour of complimentary canapes and beverages, complimentary post-conference wine and tap beers, cheese and fruit platters and afternoon tea upgrades.

Organisers can select their add-ons online, with vouchers are valid for 12 months.

 

MICE Port Stephens has released a range of new itineraries for the Hunter region’s conference and events market.

The two and three-day itineraries feature parasailing, luxury yachts, sunset cruises and quad biking among other activities.

 

The InterContinental Sydney has appointed Jorg T Bockeler, formerly of InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto, as its new general manager. 

Bockeler will also take on the role of area general manager of Mulpha Hotels Australia – the owners of InterContinental's Sydney and Sanctuary Cove properties.

 

Aaron Glenn has joined Spoonbill at Melbourne's The Olsen Hotel as its new restaurant and events manager.

 

The Byron at Byron in far north New South Wales is offering the opportunity to host a conference at the resort from $220 per room per night as the resort undergoes routine maintenance work around its pool deck between June 16 and July 6.

 

The Camden Valley Inn in Macarthur just outside Sydney has launched Pimms and Croquet afternoons for groups of at least 20, priced from $20 per person.
