The Australian Event Awards 2014 is closing in, with only 7 days to go to put together a winning entry. Entering the awards is designed to be as accessible as possible to all members of the industry.

The entry process is completed online using a simple form which addresses the criteria and restricts answers to the word limits supplied. 

 

In a new initiative, Meetings & Events Australia’s (MEA) Board of directors is calling on young events professionals to attend their Board meetings.

Professionals under 30 who work for a MEA member are invited to come along as a “guest” to encourage young events employees to put their own views and ideas to the Board Table, as well as gaining some invaluable experience.

 

Meeting and Incentive Forums has announced its events for 2015, including additional dates and new destinations to the worldwide events calendar.

A significant addition to the successful roster of events is a brand new Forum to be held in Dubai, aimed to respond to a growing demand for more events targeting these destinations.

The M&I Forum Europe Spring will bring the total number of European Forums targeting UK and mainland Europe buyers to four per year, and will showcase this exciting destination to a large new audience.

 

Seasoned event professional David Addison has been appointed to the Event and conference management organisation, Sane Event Group’s Leadership Team.

David Addison joins Sane Event Group, in the role of Director of Strategic Development and Corporate Services, and will work alongside Directors Michelle O'Donahoo and Sue-Ellen Nagi to support the strategic navigation of the company and the pursuit of new business development opportunities.
