The organisation is the first Pan-Asian association to represent the interests of professionals working in the Business Events Industry.

Mercure Sydney has launched its new conference space with a range of event offerings, as part of the property’s multi-million dollar revamp which took place earlier this year.

There are eight event rooms, most with natural light, which can cater for up to 400 delegates.

The hotel has partnered with suppliers including Cheeky Food Group, Best Buds Florist, BE Challenged, 3Minute Angels, Be Spoke Social, Sydney Brewery and De Bortoli Wines to offer cooking and cocktail-making classes to massages and a lolly bar.

It is offering a ‘Meet & Sleep’ conference package for $239 per person per day including overnight accommodation, wifi and a full day conference package. All bookings must be made and secured by November 30.

Marriott Australia hotels have launched a new promotion to help meeting planners wrap up their last minute winter events.

The new conference and event packages cater to individual needs, and includes free fun breaks in Sydney, and special room rates in Brisbane, while Melbourne even offers a $100 bar tab.

Visitors to Port Stephens can now see the region on new guided bike tours with Port Stephens Mountain Bike Adventures.

Launched this month by local cycling enthusiast Mick Shaw, the company offers tours ranging from easy guides to more challenging bush rides extending up to 27km.

“As a result we are now positioned as a perfect short-haul, four-star destination for the Australian, New Zealand and Pacific MICE, corporate and holiday-seeking couples markets,” general manager Carey Norton said.
