SCEC celebrates new look

The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre (SCEC) has revamped its logo as the centre celebrates 25 years in the business.

Featuring the tag line ’25 Remarkable Years’, the new logo commemorates the launch of SCEC back in May 1988, in which the Queen opened the centre as part of Australia’s Bicentenary celebrations.

Revealing the new look last week, SCEC chief executive Ton van Amerongen said the revamp was a fitting reminder of how the centre helped to put Sydney on the map over two decades ago.

“The opening of the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre put Australia on the world meetings stage and paved the way for the development of the nation’s events industry,” he said. “Our anniversary is cause for celebration for many different industries as well as the national event sector.”

The new logo will be used in a range of internal and external communications before the centre closes its doors in December to prepare for the new Sydney International Convention Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct development.
