The great thing about my job is… the amazing people I work with and the inspiring association volunteers that spend what little spare time they have trying to make a difference.

The challenge for industry is… making a traditional meeting and networking model relevant and exciting to young people.

My greatest achievement is… actually moving to Australia (as of 2 months ago), which is the culmination of a life-long dream.

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be…repurposing and disseminating (as opposed to just capturing) the content of association meetings – with the aim of creating a brand experience that lasts at least 6 months beyond the actual conference.

I try to relax by… swimming at Bronte Beach.

Currently the album playing on my iPod is… Lana del Rey.

My favourite venue is… the Sydney Opera House.

I am scared to death of… mushrooms, brussels sprouts, turbulence and intolerance.

I can’t live without… regular exercise, a swim in the ocean, my old-fashioned business diary and my very patient other half.

Blackberry or iPhone… believe it or not, neither—I try to avoid work encroaching on my phone.

I really wish I had…10,000,000 frequent flyer miles.

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be… Madonna, Lady Gaga, Graham Norton and Dr Sheldon Cooper.
