The top 10 hotels in the world for top notch service

What makes a good hotel for you? Perhaps it’s the location, the cost, or quality of the breakfast buffet. For many travellers the quality of service is what can make or break the overall experience, so if you’re after good service TripAdvisor has done the searching for you.

The world’s largest travel site has revealed the hotels with the best service across the world, with 1762 properties in 98 regions and countries being honoured with a place on the list.

Ranking in first place is the Riad Kheirredine in Marrakech, Morrocco. One reviewer said: “The real added value is the staff! Those people are amazing; they will treat and pamper you like you are their best friend coming to Marrakech.”

The award winners of the ‘Travellers Choice Hotels with Exceptional Service’ were determined from the millions of reviews, ratings and opinions provided by travellers worldwide.

Barbara Messing chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor said: “Travellers have millions of hotels to choose from, and service is one way to stand out in the crowd. It’s clear in reading our hotel reviews that when you have a happy customer, they spread the word.”

The top pick in Australia showed that paying top prices doesn’t always mean top service. Already holding the title for Australia’s best budget friendly hotel, The Morwell Motel in Gippsland, Victoria was named number one hotel for exceptional service in the country.

Morwell Motel owners, Grant Maddern and Anthony Mayer, say they are delighted to have their high level of service recognised. “Our team is our greatest asset and takes great pride in all areas of the business. We look after our guests as if they are family, making sure all the little ‘one-percent-ers’ add up to a big 110% experience – nothing is too much trouble” they said.
