Virgin Australia has now commenced its codeshare agreement with Virgin Atlantic between Sydney and Hong Kong.

The service runs daily out of Sydney and Hong Kong on an A340-600 aircraft and features Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class, Premium Economy and Economy classes. Virgin Australia group executive of alliances, network & yield Merren McArthur welcomed the move for expanding on its existing Sydney to Hong Kong service, which launched in 2004.

“Hong Kong complements our network strategy to provide access to the most important international business and leisure destinations from Australia,” she said.

Passengers will have reciprocal access to frequent flyer points and club lounges. Economy return fares are now available, starting from $903.
