AIME partners with Grip for Tinder-like matchmaking event feature

The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has tapped tech company Grip as its official partner to connect buyers and exhibitors at its 2022 event.

Taking place on 21 on 23 March in Melbourne and 28 March to 1 April online, AIME is the first event to kick off the APAC business events calendar, with the new tech appointment set to help supercharge business opportunities through its matchmaking capabilities.

As part of the new partnership, Grip company will launch its meetings algorithm in an APAC in-person event first – matching connections between AIME attendees using over a billion AI data points to unite preferences.

Through its custom functionality, the AI Scoring Matrix, meetings will match through a series of criteria, including meeting preferences, profiled data from buyers and exhibitors, preferences against similar delegates at the event, and meeting ratings between similar users.

AIME event director Silke Calder is confident the advanced technology will help revolutionise the way domestic and international delegates conduct business.

“This really feels like a natural partnership with both our organisations committed to excellence in all that we do,” she said.

“As the world looks forward to a more open post-COVID environment, AIME 2022 is set to hypercharge real demand for important business events in the years to come. We can’t wait to reconnect with you all.”

With capabilities to an unlimited number of meetings, the new platform will give delegates and exhibitors more predictive and accurate leads when it comes to potential business partners.
