Business Events Geelong partners with Aussie TV personality Nicky Buckley for virtual site visits

Business Events Geelong has partnered with beloved TV personality Nicky Buckley to present a series of virtual walk-throughs showcasing some of the very best venues on offer in the region.

The 12 videos, produced with support from Tourism Australia’s Business Events Boost Program, represent a number of different venues across Geelong and the Bellarine.

Presented in a Getaway-style format, the videos are aimed at event organisers who are interested in taking their event to the region, but for one reason or another cannot attend an in-person famil yet.

Brendan Saunders, acting convention bureau manager at Business Events Geelong, said Buckley was the “perfect host” to present the virtual walkthroughs.

“We wanted to work with a household name – a local who was passionate about the region and keen to show-off some of the incredible venues we have on offer here,” he said.

“Nicky ticked all the boxes.”

Buckley, a long-term resident of the Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula, said she was “pleasantly surprised to discover just how many diverse and amazing venues we have right here on our doorstep”.

“If you are looking to add a little variety to your next event, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend any number of the event venues I have recently discovered in Geelong and the Bellarine,” she said.

“There were so just many stunning locations with state-of-the-art facilities to really wow your delegates.”

Venues featured across the video site visits include Highermark GMHBA Stadium, Lon Retreat, Mt Duneed Estate, Provenance Wines, Geelong Arts Centre, The Pier Geelong, Novotel Geelong, Rydges Geelong, Waurn Ponds Estate, Werribee Open Range Zoo and Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee.

To celebrate the launch of these videos, Business Events Geelong is inviting event organisers and meeting planners to view all 12 videos and answer a few simple questions by midnight on Friday 14 May 2021 to go into the draw to win a number of fab regional prizes.
