Entries open for the Australian Event Awards

Entries are now open for the Australian Event Awards, to recognise those behind some of the best events in Australia and around the world.

There are 21 categories open for entry in 2017, including 10 Best Event categories, 10 Achievement categories and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Entries can be completed online here.

The Event Awards are judged by over 35 experts and leaders of the Australian events industry in a two-round process, overseen by the Chair of the Judging Panel Sandy Hollway AO, former CEO of the organising committee for the 2000 Olympic Games.

All entrants receive expert feedback on their events and achievements.

Apart the Lifetime Achievement Award, events and achievements must have taken place between 1 July 2016 and 30 June 2017 to be eligible to enter the 2017 Awards.

Entries for the Awards will close on 17 July 2017.

Finalists for the Awards will be announced on 8 August 2017 with the winners announced at the Australian Event Awards ceremony on 13 September on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

The Awards will be followed by the Australian Event Symposium, a two-day conference for the entire Australian events industry to grow their skills and networks.

Those who register for the Event Symposium, which includes a ticket to the Australian Event Awards, before 15 May, will receive the Super Early Bird rate, saving $165. Registration can be completed online at www.eventsymposium.com.au.
