Flight Centre scores whopping government contract

Flight Centre’s corporate arm, FCM, has retained the NSW Government travel management contract following a successful tender process.

The business has been awarded a three-year contract plus two additional one-year options having first won the account six years ago.

“We’re delighted to have retained this prestigious account and we’re looking forward to helping the NSW Government achieve its aims,” said FCM general manager for Australia, Melissa Elf.

“FCM has transformed the travel program over the previous term of the contract, increasing online uptake and overall consolidation of the travel program.

“FCM will offer the NSW Government a completely revised and enhanced technology offering, allowing users more control over their booking requirements.

“The travel contract will consist of nine clusters and over 80 agencies, with each agency having specific requirements, and the programme will be further supported with enhanced reporting.

“I have to pay tribute to our Head of Account Management NSW Michelle Leffley and her team for putting together an exceptional tender. We proudly have a 98 per cent retention rate of our customers and that wouldn’t be possible without the tireless hard work of all our teams.”
