Get Global snags Lonely Planet Executive
Following on from the announcement earlier in the year that ICMI Speakers & Entertainers would be partnering with Get Global, the one-day MICE trade event has today announced the second of the globally renowned speakers to talk at Get Global.
With the ICMI partnership and the introduction of Inspiration Corner on the exhibition floor, Get Global is driving educational leadership in the trade event space.
Gus Balbontin, former Lonely Planet executive and Chief Technology Officer, led the world’s largest travel guide publisher through a turbulent time of change in the global tourism industry.
From transitioning the leading travel publishing house into a successful multimedia platform, Balbontin is a visionary.
His fun, energetic delivery will have you stitches whilst challenging your view of how to think about the industry and your role in global business tourism.
By attending Get Global 2018, buyers (and exhibitors) will have access to inspiring, creative, thought-inducing business futurists from around the world.
All without leaving the exhibition floor.
“If we are asking people to spend a whole day out of the office, we wanted to ensure they could maximise their experience at Get Global,” said Donna Kessler, Co-founder of the one-day event dedicated exclusively to outbound product.
“The Inspiration Corner is a way to deliver an empowering educational element, in a fun and creative way without taking the buyer away from the whole reason they are attending, to meet sellers and solve their MICE needs.”
Gus Balbontin’s experience in travel, adventure, business and entrepreneurship, motivates all who are lucky enough to hear him talk.
Get Global – Where the World Meets, will be held at the International Convention Centre, Sydney on Friday 20th July, 2018.
