Hospitality Investment Conference in Vietnam

Sphere Conferences, the conference arm of Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH), has announced the launch of the inaugural Hospitality Investment Conference Vietnam (HICV), which will be held from 12 to 13 July at The Reverie Saigon, Vietnam.

The recent statistics by STR showed that Vietnam recorded a 5.6 percent increase in occupancy to 68.7 percent. There was a 4.5 percent rise in Average Daily Rate (ADR) to USD130 and Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) grew by 10.3 percent to USD89.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the country also saw a 13.5 percent year-on-year increase in arrivals from Russia during the quarter. STR analysts note that the country is viewed as a more secure destination compared to other traditional destinations for Russians. The Vietnamese government has eased visa policies and recorded the highest ADR to date.
