Influencers reveal their secret summer hotspots

Bondi beach too crowded for you?

Live out your dream summer in some super secret and ultra Instagram worthy locations thanks to TripAdvisor’s community of travel experts and influencers!

To inspire road trips, weekend getaways or a cheeky day in the sun this summer, Aussie travel influencers have taken to TripAdvisor to share inspirational imagery and advice on their favourite, lesser-known Australian summer destinations.

From Shark Beach in Sydney to The d’Arenberg Cube in McLaren Vale, these local experts want to encourage Aussies to get out and explore the undiscovered in their own backyards this summer.

@laurenepbath“I visited the d’Arenberg cube on my South Australia Winery trip and was pretty stoked to be hosted to a degustation lunch in the Cube Restaurant. It was every bit as quirky and delicious as I would have expected! I would strongly urge anyone wanting to have lunch here to book three months in advance.”

Broome (WA)

@theblondenomads“Discovering the wonderful colours of Broome. Mother Nature you have outdone yourself! Can you spot our car? This has to be one of our favorite lunch stops as we travel around Australia! Broome, Western Australia. #theblondenomads #broome #familytravel #australia”

Shark Beach, Sydney (NSW)

@tysontravel“One of my favourite beaches in Sydney! Shark Beach in Nielsen Park. Awesome little cafe on the beach here & epic walk around the corner (in front of me) that has Sydney Harbour Bridge views in just a few minutes!”

Bitter Springs, Mataranka (NT)

@theblondenomads“Floating down the warm waters of Bitter Springs was all kinds of wonderful! ?. We spent hours here, gradually turning into wrinkly prunes as we floated along in this vibrant pandanus lined hot spring ?. The water is so clear and a balmy 34 degrees. When you jump in the current slowly leads you along this little slice of paradise to some steps 100m downstream… then, you simply walk back to the start and do it again…and then again and again ?. Northern Territory, Australia #bittersprings”

Gordon River, Strahan (TAS)

@laurenepbath“I was actually in Tasmania this year for MONA’s annual Dark Mofo festival but somehow found myself flying to the West Coast with Par Avion for a full day out on the Gordon River. (With Gordon River Cruises) I love Tasmania A LOT but I especially love how different each place is from the next. Strahan is known for its rugged and wild coastlines but there are places of tranquility and quiet beauty as well.”

Airlie Beach, Whitsunday (QLD)

@markfitzau“The snorkelling here at Cruise Whitsundays Heart Pontoon is like being in a giant aquarium!”
